My company won $100,000 grand prize

I am happy to announce that Share a Refund won $100,000 prize in QB Connect 2016 App showdown. You can read the official press release here.

We started working on share a refund since Dec. 2014 and launched it in Dec 2015, it was growing slowly but surely for last 7-8 months, and we had just finished the QuickBooks integration, and QuickBooks had announced the Small Business App Showdown, and we applied on it and got selected in top 10 finalists via online voting to be eligible to present the pitch in front of 3 judges for 3 minutes, since I was in India, Nick prepared the pitch and presented and rest as they say is history.

On the day of result, it was 5 am in India, and I was eagerly looking at live twitter feed refreshing, finally it popped up that Share a Refund as winner, I cant describe the joy I had, because its been hard work for not just for Share a Refund but for last 6-7 years working remotely, doing freelancing gigs, being part of other startups Crowdclock, & Rendevu which couldn't really take off, so this was the first real taste of success.
